Evaluations

Evaluations are required in order to properly diagnose a child’s symptoms. Multiple tests are performed and after the results are analyzed, a report is created that includes test-results, diagnoses, recommendations and easy-to-read goals.

Speech & Language Evaluation

A typical speech and language evaluation consists of assessing a child’s speech, language, cognition and social skills:

  • 2 hours with direct child intervention
  • 6 hours to write up a report with parent-friendly goals

NOTE: All client forms must have been completed and delivered prior to the evaluation.

You will receive this report 4 weeks after the evaluation.

Feeding & Swallowing Evaluation

A typical feeding and swallowing evaluation consists of evaluating a child’s swallowing mechanism, observing how the child eats and monitoring how the child and/or parent feeds:

  • 2 hours with direct child intervention
  • 2 hours to write up a report with parent-friendly goals

NOTE: All client forms must have been completed and delivered prior to the evaluation.

You will receive this report 4 weeks after the evaluation.

Medication Swallowing Evaluation

A typical medication swallowing evaluation consists of evaluating pill-swallowing and supplement-drinking:

  • 1 hour with direct child intervention
  • 1 hour to write up a report with parent-friendly goals

NOTE: All client forms must have been completed and delivered prior to the evaluation.

You will receive this report 4 weeks after the evaluation.
