Ms. Alicia

Alicia Andrews, A.A., SLPA
Clinical Manager
Speech Language Pathology Assistant

Hi! My name is Alicia Andrews and I am the Clinic Manager here at Spectrum! As long as I can remember, I have been fascinated with how people talk and communicate.  As a result of that fascination, I became certified as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant at Santa Ana College.  When I’m not working with Miss Dawn, Miss Mel, and Abby, I am at Cal State Fullerton pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders.  After a few more years of school, I hope to become a certified Speech-Language Pathologist!

As for experience, I interned at St. Jude’s Communication Recovery Groups from 2010 to 2012.  I enjoyed providing exciting conversation topics and facilitating discussions between adults who are recovering from strokes and traumatic brain injuries.  I have been working in childcare in the Placentia-Yorba Linda school district since 2009 and I also have several internship and volunteer experiences providing speech and language therapy working under Speech-Language Pathologists in both La Habra and Jurupa school districts.

I absolutely love to learn as much as possible and am currently being trained in Sara Rosenfeld-Johnson’s Talk Tools oral placement program.  In addition to that, I stay busy soaking up as much knowledge as I can from Ms. Dawn!

I am an avid lover of books, movies, family, and food.  On the weekends you can find me riding my road bike, planning yearly trips to India, and studying!

Tip-of-the-Day Title

When picky eaters try a new food but refuse more of it, say “thank you for trying it” & move on. This encourages food exploration & decreases food anxiety!
